Want to beat a cold the natural way?
This natural remedy works for me every time. It’s called the ginger shot in my house and it has been our best friend when we are trying to fight off the flu or a cold. We use this natural remedy anytime we start to feel run-down or at the onset of a cold. For my family, it will often alleviate a cold or flu altogether. Or, at the very least, it will help to subside and shorten the symptoms greatly.
How does it work?
Ginger and Turmeric are great immune boosters, along with oregano and whole leaf olive oils, all being anti-bacterial and anti-viral. Add lemon (vitamin C) and a pinch of Himalayan salt which carries all 84 minerals that are in the body, and no wonder this ginger shot really works!
In order for this to actually work you need to take this ginger shot twice a day (once in the morning and once before bed) for at least 3-5 days as soon as you feel a cold coming on or feel under the weather. It is even better to pair this ritual with a probiotic, but make sure to take the probiotic about 4 hours after the ginger shot or about 2 hours before. This is to ensure that the anti-bacterial properties in the ginger shot do not kill the good bacteria from the probiotic. I would also recommend that you take this after you have eaten and with at least 70oz (8-9 glasses) of water per day to get the full effect.
- 1/8 teaspoon organic ginger root powder
- 1/8 teaspoon organic turmeric powder
- juice from 1/2 an organic lemon
- 10 drops of organic oregano oil
- pinch of Himalayan pink salt
- add a little water (optional)
Mix it together and take your ginger shot. I really hope this works for you and your family the way it has worked for mine. I would love to hear any feedback on your experience.
If you are on blood thinners or have any kind of medical condition, it is VERY important to consult your physician before using.
