The stones are a lime-greenish color and may cause extreme pain when blocking the bile duct, especially if the stones at not broken down. Lemon Juice and Gallstones

To prevent a gallbladder attack, pour a couple tablespoons of pure organic lemon juice into a glass of water. If someone is suffering from a gallbladder attack, the quickest way to relieve pain is to drink the lemon juice as strongly as you can handle it. Try to drink at least a quarter cup of lemon juice. The lemon juice should take effect within 15 minutes to an hour.
Lemon juice is meant to be a quick aid to help relieve gallbladder pain. It is not intended to replace a medical course of action in the event of a gallbladder attack. Gallbladder Cleanse with Lemon Juice
There are many different gallbladder and liver cleanses involving lemon juice and olive oil. Most importantly, you want to find a combination that you will be able to drink. Some recipes suggesting drinking a cup of olive oil chased by a cup of lemon juice can seem pretty daunting. There are a few variations involving fruit juice that can make a lemon juice gallbladder cleanse more palpable.
Not only does lemon prevent your body from absorbing fat, it is extremely helpful in a gallbladder flush by breaking up gallstones. Common ingredients in a gallbladder cleanse are olive oil and lemon juice. It helps to lubricate the gallstones so they pass easily through the bile duct. Some recipes may even suggest adding Epsom salt into the mix as it is a great laxative and helps ensure open up the end of the bile duct to easily pass stones into the intestines.
If you are experiencing pain you should NOT do a gallbladder cleanse. In some cases, it can even accentuate the pain and cause further problems such large stones lodged in your bile duct, pancreatitis, jaundice or even a ruptured gallbladder by causing undue stress in severe cases. Lemon juice should not be used as a replacement for the emergency treatment of gallstones. It is only recommended for the use as a natural pain reliever. A diagnosis is highly necessary if it is suspected that the gallbladder is trying to release gallstones. If a high fever, shaking chills, excessive vomiting accompanies a gallbladder attack, seek emergency help immediately.
