This year I’ve been helping my boyfriend out with his organic garden. In doing so, we have had to use pesticides to keep bugs from eating the crops. The pesticide solution that we’ve been using is natural, cheap, and widely accessible.
Pesticide solution recipe
- 1 tablespoon of cayenne or red pepper powder
- 6 drops of dish liquid soap
- 1 gallon of water mixed into a bucket
Afterwards, it is poured into a spray bottle and thoroughly spritzed on the crops once a week. Spray the pesticide solution moderately or as needed depending on the daily weather (rain, shine, wind, etc.) It has kept the bugs off the crops pretty well and keeps the bites to a minimum. This is a great way to use an organic pesticide.
