B.Legacy Apparel & Accessories Product Review
Hello G2N community!
It is time once again for me to weigh in on a socially conscious product that has come to our attention over here at Going 2 Natural. I am very excited to tell you about B-Legacy. This company has built their reputation on producing a product that is not only animal cruelty-free, but also lead-free. After doing a fair amount of research on vegan leather products, is really something I want to highlight. With the current trend of buying items that reduce or minimize our carbon footprint, lead-free vegan leather is the way to go. Especially when making the switch from real leather to the more earth and animal friendly option. That being said, let’s take a look at the bag B-Legacy sent me.
So let’s start with the fact that when I received my package in the mail. I opened the shipping box and my bag was swathed in purple tissue paper. And that had a golden wax seal with the letter B imprinted on the wax! FANCY! There was even a personalized Thank You card in a sealed envelope. Since I am a detail girl, those small details are very important to me. They tell me a lot about a brand. Their dedication to not only the integrity of their product but also to the satisfaction of their consumer.
When I pulled the bag out of its wrapping, the first thing I noticed was that the material the purse was made from looked very leather like, even to my trained eye. I knew that walking down the street it would be impossible to determine whether this bag was made with real leather or not. In the fashion world that is a big plus, just because people want to support the vegan leather movement, they do not necessarily want to look like they are wearing “Pleather”. So big “Thumbs Up” to B Legacy for the visual accuracy, you hit it right on the head!
I immediately took all the stuffing out and transferred my items from my current bag into this one. This particular bag had a very structured form. Meaning that it will not change shape no matter how many things you stuff into it! (another big plus) Yaaay for structured bags!!
The day after I received my B Legacy bag I was taking a trip to the East Coast so I figured my travels would be a perfect way to put the usefulness of this bag to the test. I want to add that when I travel I always travel with one of my animals. This trip I took Oswald my teacup Yorkie with me and to my delight he fit right into my bag from B Legacy. I cannot tell you how much attention he got while on display in my bag. I received countless compliments both for the dog and for the bag! While we were walking the streets of NY city, again with Oswald bundled up comfortable in my bag, I was able to stuff many small souvenirs into the bag without crowding my dog, it was awesome.
Throughout my stay in New York I was able to utilize the space in this bag for different occasions. I had a business lunch to attend and put my tablet, a pad of paper, a mini-recorder and a sample of my product inside one section of the bag while my usual purse contents were in another section. All items fit and I was still able to zip the purse up. Later I had an evening affair to attend and was able to take this bag out on the town comfortably. The polished gold accents on this bag make it dressy enough for nighttime.
Now for some women a bag this roomy is unnecessary and that’s OK. B Legacy has bags, wallets, clutches, daytime, nighttime and weekend bags, in all shapes, sizes, and colors. For me personally though, the bigger the better, as long as it has some structure to the shape. I love a bag that can hold everything I need on a daily basis. Being a stylist, and costume designer I end up with all sorts of things in my bag. Everything from sewing shears and a pincushion to 30 different fabric samples and a huge bag of stage make-up! My point being, if you’re a professional, student, or busy mother and need some stylish, socially conscious storage options. B Legacy is definitely the place to start your search!
As always, I hope I inspire you to be adventurous with your personal style and unafraid to try new things! Cheers!!
