A sanctuary created by nature, pure bliss to the nature lover. This former sand pit, which has not been in use for quite some time, has now turned into one of the most beautiful sights I have ever laid eyes on.
The sign at the entrance reads “Private Property”, keeping this place secluded from most. As we walk in, our eyes are immediately drawn to the clear blue water surrounded by white sand and greenery. The area is full of fish, turtles, frogs, and singing birds. Beauty for all the sense. The water is warm to the touch and twinkles in the sun as we wade step by step.
Across from this heavenly lake, we can hear the rushing of water. To our delight, we found a beautiful ravine decorated by overhanging trees and ferns. We can see clams and tadpole below as we climb over the beavers dam. An arched tree, similar to an entryway, guides us to a tiny secluded beach, perfect for a fire and tent.
With a lantern hung on a tree, the fire warming up the cold night, and the tent set up, this is a nature lover’s paradise. The stars are as clear as ever, the full moon shines down creating a certain incandescence to the campsite. All of the week’s worries just seem to disappear. No cell phones to obsess over, no mirrors to constantly check our appearances, we become one with nature.
We are at peace with ourselves. The place beyond the lake is what we call this godly place which has reconnected us with nature and has brought us back to the basics of a happy life without excess.
This is so descriptive! I really got the image in my head! What peace! Thanks for sharing!
It sounds so beautiful! You are blessed to have discovered it.
