Tea tree oil is a natural cleaner because of its solvent properties and can be useful in controlling mold growth

Tea tree oil is well-known to be a natural antiseptic and fungicide

You can use tea tree oil to wash floors and kitchen cabinets
Just mix a few drops of the oil into any cleaning solution. Make sure that the room is well ventilated, anytime you use household chemicals, regardless if you use tea tree. Adding tea tree
to cleaning solutions can improve the cleaning power of any cleaning solution, and adds a wonderful scent to the cleaned area.
Using tea tree to wash kitchen floors can make an excellent insect repellent
Also wipe down kitchen counters with a tea tree solution to help keep unwanted insects away. Enjoy the outdoors more by warding off insects from bothering you. Add 10-20 drops of tea tree to citronella.
Have you ever experienced washing damp towels that were left on the floor to long and they still had that awful mildew smell even after you dried them?
Try adding a few drops of tea tree oil to your wash. Your towels will come out of the dryer smelling as good as new.
When you mix a few drops of tea tree oil in a water solution its solvent properties become greatly reduced. If you are planning on using tea tree oil solution on fabric or fibers it would be wise to apply it to a test area first.
The good thing about tea tree oil is that you will only need a little bit or just a few drops for each application. Make sure that you always keep a bottle of tea tree oil in the house along with an instruction book on how to use tea tree oil.
