This year I’ve been helping my boyfriend out with his organic garden, and in doing so we have had to use pesticides to keep bugs from eating the crops. The solution that we’ve been using is natural, cheap, and widely accessible. The solution consists of one tablespoon of cayenne or red pepper powder, six drops of dish liquid soap and one gallon of water mixed into a bucket. Afterwards it is poured into a spray bottle and thoroughly spritzed on the crops once a week moderately or as needed depending on the daily weather (rain, shine, wind, etc.) It has kept the bugs off the crops pretty well and keeps the bites to a minimum. This is a great way to use an organic pesticide.
